Specification

Crimp Top Tubular (Pressed Spear) across Sydney, NSW and Australia wide

Crimp top tubular fencing, also called pressed spear or Eminence fencing, is built from square hollow steel sections welded into panels, with 25 x 25 x 1.2mm vertical spears, 40 x 40 x 1.6mm rails and 65 x 65 x 2.5mm posts fitted with security brackets. Pre-galvanised steel and a polyester powder coat, black as standard, give it a long life and a clean finish.

Panels are square as standard and can be stepped to follow the land. For steep or sweeping sites, LS Fencing Services fabricates raked panels to match the ground line. Matching sliding and swing vehicle gates and pedestrian gates are available, along with the full automation range. LS Fencing Services installed more than 900 lineal metres of pressed spear fencing at Budawang School.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about crimp top tubular fencing

Anything not covered here, the office answers on 1800 572 878 during business hours.

What is the difference between crimp top tubular, pressed spear and palisade fencing?

Crimp top tubular and pressed spear are the same product: square hollow steel sections welded into panels, with the top of each vertical pressed into a spear. Palisade is a different system built from steel pales bolted to horizontal rails, specified where impact resistance and a heavier deterrent are needed. Crimp top is the choice where security has to look tidy.

Where is crimp top tubular fencing normally used?

Schools, corporate sites, civic buildings and government facilities, where the fence needs to secure the boundary without looking industrial. LS Fencing Services installed more than 900 lineal metres of pressed spear fencing at Budawang School.

Can the panels follow a sloping site?

Yes. Panels are square as standard and can be stepped to follow the land. For steep or sweeping sites LS Fencing Services fabricates raked panels that match the ground line, so there is no gap under the fence and no stepped look.

What finish and colours are available?

The steel is pre-galvanised and finished in polyester powder coat, black as standard. Other colours in the Dulux range are available to order. Posts are 65 x 65 x 2.5mm with security brackets, rails 40 x 40 x 1.6mm and spears 25 x 25 x 1.2mm.

What affects the price of a crimp top tubular fence?

Height, the length of the run, raked versus stepped panels, the number and size of gates, whether the gates are automated, post footings and the finish. Send the drawings or a site plan and LS Fencing Services returns a detailed proposal.

How long is the lead time?

Panels, posts and gates are fabricated and powder coated to the specification, so there is a fabrication period before installation. Matching sliding, swing and pedestrian gates are made at the same time so the whole boundary goes in together. The program is confirmed with the quote.
